The First Vines

The vines were delivered yesterday at 4:30pm.  This morning we started planting the vines.  I had turned on the drippers last week and put on about 3 gallons of water at each planting place.  This turned out to be a very good idea because digging was much eaiser.  Chabelo and Simon are doing most of the planting and I was going in front of them laying out the vines and the vine potectors.  I did a vine count after 3 hours and they were averaging 41 vines per hour.  We would be done in 10 days if they can keep up that pace.

Mr. Duane,

How is it going? I have moved with Jamie to Florida in the berry business with Driscoll's. Are you on Facebook? I tell many about the organic squirrel solution we discussed those many years ago and many people are impressed. Tell all the guys in the lab I say hi, except for Mr. A. Tell him I said howdy. Hope all is well and let me know when you want to see some gators in FL. I have posted a bunch of pictures on Facebook. Have a good day.
